Why are they putting cameras in the traffic lights.

I live in Miami, Fl and they are installing cameras in the traffic lights. This means that if your run the light the camera will take your picture and send you a copy of it with a 150.00 fine. I think that this is so unfair, because what happens when you lend your car to someone and they run the light. Tell me what you think about this.
